Xavier Southall '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, 

    My name is Xavier Southall and I am a diligent and hard working student at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. Throughout my life I have always been competitive, eager to learn, a great teammate and willing to make the sacrifices necessary to accomplish my goals in sports and in academics. These traits were cemented into me at a young age by my parents, but more specifically my father, who was a collegiate student-athlete. Through his example, I learned how to be a role model and how to lead others with my competitive nature, determined mentality and my will to win. 

    At an early age, I became interested in football. I love the teamwork, strategy, toughness, physicality of the game, and I love how one player has the ability to completely alter the course of a game on offense or defense. I am determined to be that player. I'm willing to play any postion in college to help the team and my athleticism shows my versatility (offense, defense or Special Teams). Football helped me apply my leadership characteristics, as well as help me learn from my mistakes on the football field. Football helped me learn how to focus in important situations and how hard work results in positive outcomes. After playing football for many years, it's exhilarating to see how far I've come, but I realize I have a long ways to go and I'm determined to continue my journey into college. I would be a great teammate and I'm sure I could help your team. 

    My academics are just as important as my sports and I strive to do my best in and out of the classroom. I am religious person and God plays a big part in my life.  My goals for my classes are to excel in them as preparation for college level work so there will be no doubt in my or anyone else's mind if I can excel in the classroom. 

    I am a great candidate for your team because of my intangible qualities. I take pride in my leadership roles, being a great teammate, hardworking ability on and off the football field, responsibility and stature, my self-confidence, infectious charisma, and my professional demeanor. My tenacity on the football field is unrivaled and my winning mentality is unmatched, and I have a pedigree few athletes posses. I would be an essential component to your university and to your football program.  I look forward to hearing from you.
