Personal Statement
I think my skillset on the field is being a sure tackler and seeing the field and knowing where to ball is going and understanding the offense. Academically I am well rounded having good or excellent grades averaging to a 3.6 GPA and plan to study Foreign Relations. I think an experience that has defined my life is when I moved to the US from Portugal when I was 6. I became interested in football during the 8th grade when my team mates from rugby. I began to realize that football is a much more hard working sport than rugby and I became obsessed with it. My freshmen year I dealt with some adversity when I broke my back during season and leg during the offseason. With almost no preparation and my body torn down from the injuries I managed to go from JV to a Varsity starter and had one of the best seasons I could've hoped for. From playing football I've learned that no matter how many blows I take I'll always get up and never quit.
