Brycen Newby '18 Recruiting Profile

My first goal is to get a good quality education and my second goal is to play football at the next level.

I have taken the most advanced courses available to me to prepare me academically which includes being chosen and attending the Governors School of Southside Virginia.

I have played football, baseball, and basketball since I was 8 years old and have always been chosen for the all star teams. Even at that age I put in the extra effort to excel at the next level. Now I am training hard to get quicker, faster, and stronger. I know that to play in college I have to maximize my ability. I have found that when I think I can't do any more, not to quit, because I still have more to give. I know that I have to apply that principle to preparing for college ball.

I am told that I am good teammate. I know how to work with others and how to put the team before myself. I have learned to be a good leader. I lead through actions not just words. Given the chance, I know I can be a real asset to any program both on and off the field.
