I have spent a great deal of time thinking about what I should say in this statement. It's hard to write about yourself. Do I start with the facts? I'm 6'4, 375 and my doctors say my growth plates are still open and I have a few more inches, or that I'll make a powerful college lineman? Do I talk about myself as a teammate? I'm not sure but, hopefully I can explain myself in a way that helps you understand my true character. First and foremost you should know that I am a good person, skills matter, size matters but when it comes down to it teammates win games.
I love the game of football and have played since my dad coached me in grid kid. I have taken the time to learn every part of the game. My dad who is a 100% disabled Iraq war Veteran always tells me. "It's your job to know every position and every man on the field so you can anticipate and take the fight to them." I have watched my dad struggle for years and he has never once given up. I have tried to model my life and football career after him.
I want to play college football because I want to take the fight to them! I love it, I thrive in a team environment. I can always pick my teammates up with my sense of humor and I pride myself in the fact that. I am someone my coaches and teammates can trust. "Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is watching" At the end of the day I feel like this is the thing that sets me apart from other recruits. I have integrity and I want to play damn good football!
