Jacob Carmichael '20 Recruiting Profile

I’ve loved football my entire life. I think it is the best sport to ever be played. Winning football games and knocking people around is the best feeling. I’ve been playing football since I was nine and it has shaped me into the person I am today. I have learned leadership and discipline through this sport which I have used in other parts of my life. I have pushed myself academically by taking AP courses every year to take advantage of everything my high school has to offer.

My football success started in middle school when I was elected a team captain by my teammates. We went on to win a county championship that year. My sophomore year as linebacker, I captained a 9-1 JV team, one of the best years the school has ever had. This year as an offensive tackle I received All district Honorable mention. High school football has taught me to be humble and that I have to earn play time through extreme hard work and dedication. I have never considered myself to be a natural athlete; however, my drive and fortitude has made me one of the most valuable and trusted players on the team.  I love football and all I want to do is keep playing beyond high school. I am a leader on and off the field. My goal is to make myself and the people around me better. Give me a chance and I will make your team stronger.
