My name is Justin Kopecko and I am currently a sophomore at Midlothian High school. My collegiate goals and aspirations include maintaining a good GPA, giving back to the community, becoming a leader on and off the football field, and having self discipline. I have aspired to play at the collegiate level ever since I started playing football. I know that playing in college is very hard goal to reach and I have to have a lot of drive and determination to reach that goal. Everyday I strive to be better and improve on myself mentally and physically.
I am a team leader on and off the field. I am involved in the leadership program for my high school. It is an extreme honor to be in the leadership program. Which only a few players are invited to be a part of. I try to set an example for my teammates and classmates everyday.
I am a very coachable player and I strive to be the best on the field. I promise you that I will be one of the hardest working recruits you will find because I don’t back down from any challenge and if a coach tells me what to do I will find a way to accomplish that task. A quote I stand by everyday is that “If you fail it may only last a minute, a hour, a day or it may even last a week, but if you quit however it will last forever”. I work out with my football team 5 days a week and I attend all position practices including the lineman practice because I believe that if you want to grow and be a better team we have to work together and have chemistry. And that’s how teams become great and win championships. And that’s the biggest thing, I love to win but when I lose I take those losses as a learning experience to grow and develop as a better player. I also work out 6 days a week after school. I work on strength, agility, and endurance.
In the classroom, I study hard and try to maintain a high GPA. Whenever I can, I try to stay after school to get help in the subjects I struggle in. I also try to give back to the community as much as I can, for example I sometimes go too elementary schools for two hours to help out the kids and interact with them. I want to attend a college that will push me and challenge me to become a better person in the classroom and also on the football field. I am willing to look at all options that are given to me. I hope to be a great leader and role model to my teammates and peers.
