One big athletic game changing time in my life is my teams defeat over NSA. It was my first year on varsity and my team was the big underdog coming in. Channel 10 news was there broadcasting and it was my first time being on live TV. Our team came together and played as one going on to beat them and shock everyone in the stands.
However it wasn't the game that changed me it was the brotherhood and community that did. That's when i knew that I wanted more of that. I wanted a chance to grow and fail when I
knew I always had someone picking me back up. And i wanted to be that guy when I got older. This sport helped me grow physically stronger but also spiritually stronger. My coaches and teammates always pushed to make me the best player I could be and I did all I could to play for the glory of God. This school year and the next few I plan on making high honor roll so there will be no debate on whether or not I can play sports. Its not easy being one of the smaller players on the field so I had to learn to be smart when i got out there to find holes in the defense and calculate where my man would be headed on offense. Ive found that one of my best talents is my IQ out there as well as my technique which has made me the player I am today.
