Personal Statement
My name is De’Marlow “Munchie” Salter and I am currently a sophomore at Petersburg High School in Petersburg, Virginia. I have loved the sport of football ever since I was a toddler. My mother put a football in my hand and I never let it go. Just as much as I love football, I love to win. I am dedicated and determined to make myself and my team better. I am seeking an opportunity to accomplish my dream of playing college football and receiving an academic degree, as my parents have their degrees. I have a winning attitude and while others are asleep, I am enhancing my craft and becoming the best defensive tackle/defensive end I can be.
I know that with continued coaching, good training and hard work I can play any skilled position on the field. I love playing RB and any Defensive position. This year, I intend on excelling at Defensive Tackle. I want to be in a position where I will not be tied to one position during my high school football career. I want to be known as a jack of all trades. This will help me be different among other recruits and a quick and flexible learner. I love to attend football camps and combines, and I am also dedicated to attend additional sports training at Sports Reality to perfect my craft and hone my skills.
I am an only child, and my parents make sure that I have everything I need to achieve my football goals. I love giving back to my community and have made it my mission to do some form of community service every month. Because my family has been homeless before, I go out and feed the homeless and volunteering in homeless shelters.
If given the opportunity to play for you and your school, I intend to bring to the team is my winning and motivational attitude, and a enthusiastic student athlete hungry to achieve greatness!
