Personal Statement
I am a student at the University of Charleston (WV), a four year college. I redshirted my first year, and for the last two years I have played and started on the Offensive line. I have worked hard in the class room and I will be graduating this spring (2013) with a Political science major and business minor. I hope to transfer and play at a D1 or D1aa school. I will have two years left to play and will work on my masters. I was and am very active in groups in school. In highschool I was a memeber of many clubs, played football, and did track and field. In college I am a member and President of SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Council) and SAB Student Activity Board. Last two semsters I have made Deans list and I have a 3.5 GPA overall. I started playing football my sophmore year in highschool. I played defensive and offensive line. When I came to the University of Charleston I focused on offensive line. I redshirted my first year. Then my redshirt freshmen year I started all 11 games at left tackle, I only gave up 2 sacks for the whole year. Then this past season I moved to right guard and started 9 games (I had a stress fracture in my leg, but I was able to come back for the last game). I only gave up one sack and earned 2nd team All-Conference for the WVIAC. I am 6'3 285 pounds, with frame to put more on. I have good weight room strengh, but excellent on the field strengh and speed. I am willing and able to play any position along the Offensive line, I am smart enough to play center big and strong enough for guard and quick enough for tackle. I have and am willing to play defensive line, mostly likely DT but I do have good quickness and could play DE.
