Roddrick Mitchell '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Roddrick Mitchell I am 225 lbs. 6 foot 2 in. I am a senior and also the captain of the football team. I have been playing football for a good portion of my life, and I am known to be a hard worker. I'm the type of person that doesn't give up on something because I don't know how to do it at the time, or someone tells me I can't do it. I'm a firm believer that through hard work and determination I can do whatever I set my mine to do regardless of what other may think. Being a senior and a team captain are two things I do not take lightly. I know as a captain and senior my peers will look to me for guidance and leadership, so I will make myself available for help on and off the field. I've always tried to do my best to excel at education and football. I have always wanted to play football on the next level, it has always been a dream of mine to play college football. My father always tells me "lead by example, not everyone can be great but be the best that you can be" to me this means I have to show up in every aspect because as I work hard and let my light shine, it unconsciously gives others permission to do the same. In school I plan on majoring in computer engineering with a second choice of communications. As far as what school I will attend, I'm interested in somewhere that I can help the team, and anywhere I can get an education while playing football at a collegiate level. The order of importance for me is: family, academics, sports and myself. I put myself last because if I take care and do the first three things to the best of my ability, everything else is taken care of. thank you, and hope you read or seen something that interest you.
