Determination, athleticism, passion for the game, vision and a fundamental skillset are the basic qualities that I bring to the field. When I first started playing football at the age of eight, I knew I had discovered something different. In the beginning, I simply loved the uniform and tackling other players, but then I grew to love the strategy, aggression, and technical maneuvering that was involved with each and every play. And I am determined to continue playing during my college years.
I am 6’4½”, weigh 210 lbs., my “wingspan” is 81 inches, and my vertical leap is 29 inches. I play Defensive End and Outside Linebacker. I play these positions because I love the Pass Rush. My size and quickness give me an advantage getting to the quarterback and I believe it is what I do best. I also believe that I have a stronger work ethic than most players. I have been rigorously weightlifting for approximately a year (since I was 15) for 6-7 days a week for 1-2 hour sessions. This commitment to the weight room and strength training has added the size and power that I bring on the field every week.
My commitment to the game extends beyond just being a player. I am an assistant coach for my thirteen year old brother’s team as well as film games and analyze game films for and with the coaches. I come from a close-knit, Christian home where I live with my mother, father and 1 older brother (a freshman at VMI) and 2 younger brothers. Being a family of all boys, our recreational time is usually involved with sports and our favorite time of year is football season!
Academically, I believe I am a strong student and strive for success in the classroom as well as on the field. I attend the Shenandoah Valley Governor’s School, STEM Program in the mornings where I take AP & Duel Enrollment science and math courses and then travel to my regular high school where I continue the AP courses in the afternoon. I have maintained a 4.0 out of 5.0 GPA throughout the semester.
I am confident in stating that I desire to play football at the college level and am committed to offering my dedication, strength, knowledge, experience and passion to that team who sees those same qualities in me that I know I possess.
