Personal Statement
My entire football career I have been on winning teams until my freshman year of high school. I made varsity as a freshman and was a starter and that is when I realized what hard work and dedication really means but it also taught me to be humble. Humble because we went 2-8 and I got to see what it felt like to be on the other side of winning. That drives me, all of the negative things I hear about my team drives me to push harder to help make my team better. Hate fuels my fire!
I have been fortunate to have great parents and coaches along the way to teach me, to help me get better. I have learned the value of hard work, teamwork, commitment, sacrifice and leadership. I have learned this despite not having a trophy. My mom is Korean and my dad is a former Drill Sergeant and they always encourage me to do my best. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me academically as well as athletically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a two sport athlete, a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team.
