Personal Statement
I am not your typical teenage athlete. I am driven with an internal motivation the helps me to out-work my competition and a will to never quit. This does not only apply to my athletic skills, it transitions into the classroom. I have always taken classes above my grade level as I enjoy the challenge of learning. This allowed me to earn multiple high school credits while in middle school. It is my intention to take advanced placement courses that will allow me to earn college credit and prepare me for the transition to college life. My plan is to major in Sociology or Psychology. Of course, my dream is to play college football and then have the blessing of playing in the NFL.
I have played football for 6 years now and all of them have been in the trenches as a lineman. As a Freshman, I played all 5 positions on the offensive line before earning the starting left tackle position for the last 6 games of the season. For my Sophomore season I transitioned to guard where I used my speed to seal off linebackers on a regular basis. Additionally, I played defensive line 1, 3, 5, & 7 techniques as well as a little time at Mike LB. Going into my Junior year I have transitioned into more of a leadership role for my team. With COVID-19 shutting us down, I coordinated small group workouts with my teammates helping to ensure we are ready when the time comes to hit the field. Finally, I am an excellent Long Snapper with POP times in the .68-.75 second range while maintaining amazing accuracy.
As you can see, I am a versatile student-athlete who can do just about anything my team needs me to do. In order to keep my competitive advantage I am currently working on my size, speed and strength. If provided the opportunity to play at the next level I can guarantee one thing...you will get my everything and you will not be disappointed.
