Personal Statement
I attend a small catholic high school in Sammamish, Washington with 678 high school students. Even though we are a 2A sized school, we compete in 3A athletics and I enjoy being part of that type of effort. My team recently held the State of Washington 3A title for two years in a row. Academically, I am fascinated with science and enjoy learning mathematics. I believe that the student aspect of being a "student athlete" is as important as the athletic ability aspect. I hope to pursue a degree in the sciences, possibly forensics or criminology because I would like to eventually have a career in higher law enforcement like US Marshall Service or the FBI. I am a loyal teammate. I love the brotherhood of being part of an elite football team and helping my team to compete. I have been told by coaches that my leadership and coachability are excellent. I work throughout the season to improve my football skills and consider myself a student of the sport. Throughout 9 years of being involved with football, I have learned that football is about so many important character building exercises other than just the sport itself and I am looking forward to continuing building my leadership and life skills through my collegiate student athlete experience. I work all year round with a positional coach and just started working with a strength and agility coach, as well. I was named 2nd Team All Metro League Offensive Tackle for 2017.
