My wish has been to play college football since i began playing at 7 years old with my neighborhood friends. Being able to start my path towards sports medicine while playing college football would be my next path and goal. I have played on championship teams and on teams that rarely won but I always felt good about my situation because the people on those teams and the coaches I’ve had along the way. I compare my High School to Vanderbilt in the SEC we are very highly rated in the classroom (Tops in the Nation) but we tend to produce a winning football team about every 6 years due to the demographics and commitment to the sport by the students and parents. While early in high School my grades suffered I have committed to getting them up by retaking some earlier courses this winter online to change the grades and by focusing on my grades through to the end of the year. I think that I would be a perfect candidate for any team for my commitment and unselfishness. As a 3-year starter in a very competitive league I had to play multiple positions due the fact that our team needed me too. Whether it was because of injuries or there was a need for it due depth and talent. In a time where people leave and jump to situations where it benefits them but leaves others behind struggling I chose to stay at my school and work to make them better. I also was able to balance 2 conflicting sports Baseball and Football while never making it an issue of missed practices for either. I was a 4 year Summer Soldier Recipient. This football award is given to a player for his commitment to weight room, community, team and practice. I also attended all our leadership Saturday meetings in which we learned how to lead while also finding the tools to pass the knowledge to others who weren't getting the word. While we are not all perfect and being that I'm 17 years old I feel most of the decisions I have made have been positive and any that haven't I have learned from and will never duplicated.
