My mom wouldn't let me play tackle football until middle school (6th grade). I began that season as the starting left defensive end, but ended it as the starting quarterback; leading our team to win our last two games and get into the playoffs. Ever since then, I've been the starting quarterback on every team I've played on. I've been a captain every year, earning respect with my play, my toughness (I've never missed a game or practice in my career), and how I lead and treat my teammates.
People have always told me I have an unusually strong arm, and I'm going to maximize the most out of my gift. I'm obsessed with improving my game and work on my technique every day. I identify an area I need to improve in my game at the end of each year, and turn it into a strength the following year (e.g. throwing on the run). I've thrown under the lights at a grocery store parking lot at midnight; I've gotten to know the night custodian at my high school throwing in the gym in the evening. I've made the most of opportunities I've earned (nothing's been given to me), and am looking for an opportunity to play quarterback in college. Did I mention I'm supposed to grow to be 6'6" tall?
