Personal Statement

My name is Evan Neitling.  I love sports and competition, and football and baseball are my absolute favorites.  I have loved the game of football since I can remember, and I have dreamed of playing Division 1 level college football since I first put on pads.  I believe that I have what it takes, both in skills and abilities, as well as in my passion and desire and dedication to the love of the game, to be able to play at the Division 1 level for my college career.  In fact, I believe in myself that I have what it takes to go on from college and pursue a career in the NFL as well.

I am a dedicated student, scholastically, currently maintaining a 3.95gpa overall.  I am a member of the National Honor Society, and I am an active member of the Honor Band, as a percussionist.

In addition to maintaining my grades, and being an active member and team mate for both baseball and football, I also have a passion for playing drums.  Besides being a member of my high school band class, I also put in an average of 45 minutes of play and practice time each day on my drums.  I also take private drum lessons about 3 to 5 months out of the year.

My dedication and commitment to overall health and physical fitness is of highest priority in my life as well.  I get up at 5am, three days each week, and head to the gym for intense workouts before going to school.  On weekends, my dad and I also get additional workouts in, whether it be road bicycling, hiking, time at the gym, etc.

My overall goal is to make myself the best me that I can be.  I want to be an active and supportive member of the community in which I live.  I want to remain happy and healthy... physically, mentally and emotionally.  And I want to be a part of something that is bigger than just me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
