The opportunities given to me by my parents have made me the person I am today. They have influenced me to make the correct decisions in life, helping me reach my academic, music, and athletic goals. I have had the privilege of being coached by some phenomenal people including Jake Locker and Steve Gervais as quarterback coaches and trainers. My interest in football began right as I started playing flag football in 3rd grade. That year my team went undefeated and I have played tackle football every year since. In 7th and 8th grade I was the starting quarterback for my club team that also went undefeated both years. My 8th grade year I broke my hand three days before the North Cascade Youth Football League championship game. Luckily, I was cleared to play quarterback and we won the league championship in overtime.
I have learned how to be a leader through football and appreciate the difficult parts of the game. This has transferred to every aspect of my life. I plan to maintain my 3.8+ GPA and take the most advanced classes I can in high school. My college goals include getting at least a four-year degree. Characteristics that define me are an ability to stay calm under pressure and keep a cool head no matter the outcome of the play. I take my role on the team seriously. My coaches trust me to do what they ask and have put me in numerous positions including Kicker/Punter, Linebacker, Safety, Lineman, Tight End, and Quarterback. Ultimately, I believe my coaches have asked me to be the quarterback for 7 seasons in a row because I have the qualities required of a quarterback.
