As a member of a large family, with four brothers and two sisters, I understand the importance of working as a team. As the oldest, I also understand the importance of being a leader and role model for my brothers and sisters, as they look to me for strength and guidance.
I play for my family and my team is also my family. I transfer many of the beliefs, skills and traits I have learned at home to the football field and the classroom. Playing football at the collegiate level would be a privilege not available to everyone. Understanding this creates the work ethic and drive that I display in the classroom and on the football field. I maintain a 3.2 GPA and continually push myself to improve. I work every day in the weight room and on the practice field to achieve my goals of championships and all conference selections.
I want to attend a college where I can excel in the classroom as well as the football field. The combination of obtaining an excellent education while competing at the highest level on the football field is my ultimate goal.
I will conduct myself with honor on and off the field. I am very aware that my actions are a reflection of myself, my coaches, my team and my school. I hope to become a great role model and make my family proud!
