Personal Statement
While most athletes compete in one sport at a time, I compete in two. Football and stock car racing have been my passion sports since I was 6. My race season starts in April and football in June, both sports have gone into October and November. Although some people might feel that racing is not a sport, I feel that it helps me with football. Repetition, dedication, concentration, quick reaction time, communication, and dealing with extreme heat have helped me in my football career.
I take football and school just as serious, I’m not just a player but a leader and a team captain. I practice hard and show up daily. I make myself accountable and coachable, so I won’t have to give excuses. I am dedicated to my team and the game, and I hope to attend college and grow as a student and athlete.
When I am not in school, I give back to my community by volunteering at Racing Rascals race events or teaching novice training to new quarter midget racers. I also volunteer for Selah Tomahawks grid kids football camps and practices.
I want to attend college and I am open to all college options. I want to find the right college match allowing me to compete on the football field and pursue a degree in criminal justice or law.
