Personal Statement

Hi, I'm Evan and I love playing football.  I've grown up in a small rural town in Southeastern Washington that prides itself in the community minded attitude and a good work ethic.  Sports is at the center of the community as a way to pull everyone together.  I've been raised that your word is your word and it's important to have a good work ethic and to do your best at whatever you set your mind too.   My family has taught me to be a leader as I have learned to serve others.  If I can do the least desired job well, I'll be able to do the most desired job well also, with heart, commitment and the benefit of others in mind.  My passion is to continue to be able to play football as far as it will take me.    In the 2019 season I was chosen the honor of all conference first team defensive/offensive this year along and have been nominated to play in our conference’s East West game this summer. I was also honored with the Ron Dunning Lineman  of the Year Award and have been awarded multiple times a Nd still holding the Defensive Red Chain for  best defensive player in a single game.  Along with that my goals  are to eventually have a career in the field of fabrication and possibly eventually own my own business. I have also considered a career in the military to accomplish some of my goals and to serve my country.  When I play football, win or lose, it's all in the whole time. You go 110% and pump up your teammates to do the same.  It's a team effort and it takes every person on the field to do their job and do it to their best ability.  Even if we don't win a game, we should have left it all on the field and be proud of the job we have done and the effort that we put in to it.  I also want to have grown from each game to put what I learned into the next.  I believe I would be an asset to your team both on and off of the field.
