Personal Statement
As I near the end of my junior year of high school, I am very excited and preparing hard during this off season for my final year of football for Woodinville HS. It has been an honor and I have been extremely fortunate to be involved in a top notch program at Woodinville and the opportunities that have been associated with it. While everyone on the field has talent, I believe that what sets me apart from others is my strength and determination, work ethic, and will to compete. I am at the gym, in the weight room, or on the field each and every day working to improve my skills and my strength. I lead by example both on and off the field.
I am extremely motivated to continue playing football at the college level and I am actively pursuing this opportunity. While I have not played football as long as many other players, I am a hard worker and committed to being the best player and teammate I can possibly be. I did play baseball for eleven years and I loved the competition but felt that I was missing out on the opportunity to play football and decided that I wanted to play. I knew very quickly that it was the sport for me and I worked exceptionally hard to excel right from the start. By the end of my first season, I was moved up to the varsity team where we would compete for the state title. I have been recognized for my achievements by my team and at both the regional and state level, but I also feel that I have a lot more to learn and accomplish. I am extremely coachable and have learned a significant amount in a short period of time, and I believe with additional coaching, the possibilities are endless. I know that I have the talent and character and that I can succeed at any college both academically and athletically.
