Personal Statement

My name is Justin Krol.  I play offensive line for the Cedarburg High School Bulldogs. I’ve always enjoyed playing football, and it’s been my favorite sport since the 4th grade.  My flag football team played a championship game on a local college’s turf field for the first time that year, and I still remember the pride we felt when we earned that trophy.

I have always been noticed for my size, and football has given me a chance to use my strength to my team’s advantage.  I practiced Taekwondo from an early age, so that has helped me have control of movement and flexibility that is unexpected for someone of my size and strength.  I also carry with me the tenants of Taekwondo that I was taught: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit.

Football has already given me opportunities to play on some infamous fields, like the Tom Benson Hall of Fame field, and the AT&T Stadium in Dallas. The chance to represent my high school on the varsity team and work together to execute our plan as a team, especially with my teammates on the O-line, has only further fueled my passion for the game.

My future plans include pursing a degree in education, and I also hope to become a coach one day.  This summer I spent a week as a camp counselor with 4th-6th grade boys, and it was a great opportunity to develop my leadership and mentoring skills.  Later in the summer, when I helped out with our local youth football camp, my coach noticed how well I worked with the younger players.

I plan to continue to develop as a player, and once I complete high school, I would love the opportunity to play at the next level and become an asset to the team, the college, and the community that I become a part of.

Thank you.
