I have been playing football ever since second grade at the age 7 I decided to sign up and play flag football for the local park and rec league. Since my first practice, I've found the love of the game and it only continues to grow. After playing two years of flag football I joined my schools youth flash football team. Finally being able to throw on the pads and represent the pirate logo on my helmet and the most important of all, the name on my back. It was also great because I got to play in many different positions; playing mainly QB, WR, and OLB. It wasn't until my 7th grade where I found the true positions for me as a player, and that was WR, OLB, and DB. Waking up every day to go to school looking forward to practice is when I realized that football is everything to me and I was determined to play at the college level.
Every single day I work on improving my skills whether it's in the classroom, weight room, or on the field. I am constantly working on gaining strength, speed, weight, and agility to improve my overall skill. My parents are constantly pushing me to excel in everything, and by doing that they expect me to the do the best and I can, realizing that most the time my best isn't really my best. The reason being is because there is always room for improvement. Not only do I push myself but I feel that it's part of my job to push my siblings and teammates to do so as well. I am the type of person to Lead. I try to lead by example so I love encouraging everybody on the team because what's a team without trust or what my team likes to call "brotherhood." I can guarantee that I am the hardest working recruit you'll ever find.
I want to attend college not only to play football but to excel in the classroom. Playing football at a college where I can get the degree I want is a major part for me as a player. It is student-athlete not athlete-student. I am open to all options and really want to find the right college for me no matter the division. I just want to show my friends and family the great leader I can be and make them and myself proud.
