I started football in fifth grade. At that point in my life I had no friends and I would go to school and get bullied everyday. I joined football because of all those Disney movies I watched as a little kid where I saw all the cool football players. I wasn’t naturally gifted in any of my sports but I wanted so bad to just have people who liked me so I put in the work outside of practice. I got up in the weight room younger than anybody else in my class so that I would have some sort of advantage over my peers. I now have lots of friends who I gained through my sports because a sports team is like a family and I can say that through doing my sports I have learned so much about respect, responsibility, and the importance of working hard.
