Personal Statement
As I begin this new chapter in my life as a college student, there are many goals that I hope to achieve. Goals that I feel will define my success as a student, an athlete, and a professional. My goals and aspirations may be difficult to attain, but I intend on continuing to be a +1 student, athlete, and person to make my goals a reality.
Success as a student
My main objective at this point is to obtain the skills I need to pursue my career in business management by acquiring a well-rounded general education. I would like to obtain knowledge from my instructors, course materials, and my peers and teammates. I am a very organized and good at multi-tasking. These two characteristics have made me a successful High School student. I have been able to maintain a 3.2 grade point average while competing at the Varsity level in football, basketball, and track and field. I am also an active member of Sting Cancer Club and Business Club.
Success as an athlete
My second objective is to be a fierce and competitive football player. I understand the hard work, sacrifice, and commitment that being an athlete demands and I am willing to continue to give 110%. The sport of football has taught me many life lessons that will make me a better person. One of those things being toughness. Being a multi sport athlete has taught me to work hard, never give up, and to fight back when faced with adversity. Lessons that I know will make me a stronger professional as I enter the working world. I know I still have many lessons to learn and look forward to playing football for a program that has a coaching staff that will help me grow mentally and help to Improve my level of physical fitness and skill.
Although my expectations may seem high, I know I will appreciate whatever I am able to achieve in the end. I am committed to working hard in school and looking for opportunities that could help me make my goals a reality.
