Personal Statement
Hi, my name is James Lassa I'm from Pittsville, WI. I'm a 225 lb hard hitting middle linebacker for Rochester Community & Technical College. In the 2015 season, I was voted MCAC defensive player of the week (Sep. 9). This season at RCTC, we went 11-0 past the regular season, won the MCAC championship, was ranked #2 in the nation, and made it to the NJCAA championship in Biloxi, MS. In high school, I started varsity at these positions- fullback, defensive tackle, nose tackle, defensive end, power back, off tackle, and special teams. Wherever the coach needs me, I will play that position. I am a team player and a leader on the field. In my 2013 high school season I lead the team in tackles, sacks, blocked punts, blocked PAT's, and forced fumbles. I was voted all conference first team defensive lineman. In the third round of our high school playoffs, we out scored them 61 to 12. I love to lift weights and practice hard. I want to win on every single play and every down. I'm very coachable. I also wrestled at the 220 lb weight class in high school. I started on varsity since my freshman year. As a senior, I made it all the way to sectionals in a extremely tough division. I ended the season with a 38-8 record and made all conference honors. It is very important for me to do well academically and athletically in the school I choose. I am looking to move on to the next level at a Division 1 college for football. Thank you for your consideration.
