Ever since I could remember, my parents have instilled into me the importance of hard work. They helped me understand that with enough hard work, you can get anywhere you want to be. This principle is especially true for me in the world of football. I have been playing football from the time I was six years old, back when my greatest motivation for playing was getting to wear a game jersey with my last name on the back to school - I thought nothing could possibly be cooler. But as my career as an athlete progressed, I soon began to realize that it’s not all about the last name on the jersey, but more about whom you represent on the front of it. Putting in hard work for the team always comes before any personal glory. Hard work comes into play off of the field too - my academic aspiration in high school is to finish with ‘B’ honor roll. Through playing football, I have learned that if you make a mistake you cannot just give up, but rather keep trying until you get it correct, and this holds true in the classroom as well. In football, school, and life, hard work and perseverance will always overcome adversity.
