NCSA College Recruiting Renews Partnership with Chicago Public Schools

NCSA to help CPS student-athletes find a path to college through sports

CHICAGO, June 7, 2022NCSA College Recruiting, the world’s largest and most successful college athletic recruiting network, has renewed its partnership with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) as its Official Recruiting Partner.

NCSA will continue to provide recruiting education and support to CPS families and ensure that all CPS student-athletes have the opportunity to earn a degree and compete at the next level.

High school student-athletes and parents will benefit from free recruiting education seminars hosted by NCSA at CPS schools and learn how to navigate the college recruiting process.

Headquartered in Chicago, NCSA has had a longstanding relationship with CPS, supporting local high school student-athletes, parents, and coaches across the school district. Last year, NCSA helped over 60 CPS student-athletes get recruited and commit to play their sport in college.

“NCSA is committed to helping every student-athlete maximize their recruiting potential and play the sport they love at the college level,” said NCSA President Lisa Strasman. “We’re proud to support CPS student-athletes in our community and intend to to create similar partnerships with school districts across the country.”

In an effort to help create equal opportunity for all student-athletes to pursue their sport at the college level, NCSA will grant All In Awards to deserving CPS student-athletes who demonstrate financial need, a strong desire to compete at the college level, and a commitment to leveraging their athletic talent to continue their education.

Each All In Award recipient receives NCSA’s most comprehensive recruiting membership at no cost, providing highly-personalized support and guidance as well as access to NCSA’s online tools and resources to ensure they have the best opportunity to find a college that is the right fit for them.

“CPS is excited to once again partner with NCSA to provide our student-athletes with equitable access to post-secondary and recruiting resources,” said David Rosengard, CPS Executive Director of Sports Administration. “NCSA’s resources and guidance have already made a life-changing impact for many of our student-athletes whose goal is to play sports in college. The support from NCSA for the college recruiting process is highly valued for our CPS student-athletes, and we are proud to partner with NCSA in this initiative.”

The partnership also grants CPS coaches and teams access to NCSA’s team recruiting platform, Team Edition. Team Edition allows coaches to track and guide their athletes’ college recruitment process with easy-to-use software and provides users access to NCSA’s recruiting database and robust network of more than 35,000 college coaches across 37 sports.

Founded in 2000 to help educate student-athletes and their families on the college athletic recruiting process, NCSA today works with families, club, high school, and college coaches to helps hundreds of thousands of student-athletes find their best college fit.
