Personal Statement
I began playing sports in kindergarten. I played baseball, soccer, and basketball. Eventually, I played football instead of soccer, but basketball was the sport that I have always had a love for. My parents and God have been the main influence on who I am. My parents have instilled a strong work ethic in me and have always pushed me to do my best and glorify God in everything I do. A few of my academic aspirations are to graduate with a 4.0 in high school and college. Then, I want to finish my MBA before starting my business career. I bring solid 3 point shooting with a developing midrange, and I am a good ball handler and passer. As a leader for my team, I encourage my teammates and keep them from putting their heads down, even in adverse situations and environments. As a Freshman, I stepped up into a starting role on varsity and averaged 8.9 ppg and our team went 20-9, falling in the sub-regional game. This year, as a Sophomore, I knew I was going to have to be more vocal and to be a leader of the team. As a young developing student-athlete, I know it is important to keep my grades up and to keep improving every aspect of my game. The talent and confidence I possess coupled with leadership and a strong work ethic prove me capable of playing at the college level.
