Personal Statement
I have played basketball since I was five years old. Over the years, I have dealt with being told that I was too small or not strong enough. I love basketball too much to let anything get in my way. I started traveling to PGC camps (7 time grad) and they really helped me learn how to develop my physical, leadership and mental skills. I have grown 6 inches and 20lbs in the past 8 months and I am thankful that I never let other people’s words stop me and instead used those words as a driving force to work harder.
What I have learned is that you have to work the hardest, ask for advice, compete hard and bring energy every day.
I am a leader and an asset to my teams and I would be an asset to any college program.
This season I averaged 8.8 ppg, 1.8 apg, 2.5 rpg, 60 made 3s,42% from 3, 55% FG and 90% from FT. I was named the 6A Area 9 MVP. I want to work and I want to win on and off the floor!
I want to earn the opportunity to play for a great college program that is focused not only on excelling on the court, but also excelling in the classroom. Academics are very important to me I currently have a 3.8 gpa with AP courses. I want the opportunity to earn a quality education while continuing to pursue my dream of playing basketball.
