Personal Statement
Even though my team hasn't won a major championship, with me being only a sophomore, I feel like there's plenty of time to do so. As a two-time captain on the varsity team, I feel like leadership is a major quality I bring to my team, but could also bring to the collegiate level. Even though we haven't had a lot of success, I feel like I wouldn't be the player I am without the adversity of defeat. My desire and will relating to basketball is extremely important, but would be worthless without the effort and discipline I show in the classroom. Although I want to become a collegiate athlete, I know I wouldn't be able to do so without excelling in the classroom.
