Personal Statement

Hi, I have been playing basketball since age 4.  I have a strong passion for playing the game to the best of my ability.  I am very coachable, well-mannered and I strongly believe that everyone deserves respect. I am a good candidate for any team because I love learning new aspects of the game  and I have a strong desire to play at the next level.  I can truly say that I am a team player and I love to encourage my teammates to play at their best level as well.  My collegiate goals and  aspirations are to continue  to play basketball beyond my high school games throughout my college years and beyond.  I am confident that I can bring positive energy to any team because of my positive attitude to succeed not only on the court but off of the court as well.  I have always been able to balance my athletic endeavors and my academic skills by continuing to take advanced levels of courses, dual college enrollments and maintaining an honor roll status every school year since inception.  I was pulled up to the varsity team in my 9th grade year and I have been in the starting lineup from my 10th grade year through my current position as a senior this year.  My presence on the varsity teams were not only because I can dominate the game but because I have continued to uplift my teammates and my positive momentum helps ignite energy levels on the court.   Because I have played at so many levels over the years, I still refuse to take for granted that I don't have room to continue to grow and excel in the game.  And because of that,  a quote that my parents instilled in my at a very young age that I will always remember, abide by and recommend to the younger generation is, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
