Brandon Van Pelt '15 Recruiting Profile

My goals in college are to play basketball and be the best I can be at it while passing all my classes and showing that I'm not just here to ball I'm here to learn, get smarter, and use that knowledge so I can pass it onto others. I'm different from other recruits in character because I don't put on a front for anyone who I am is me and no one can make me change that. I think I differ from other recruits in athletics because I'm not some guy that goes on the court starts messing up and starts getting all angry.. that's not me I just tell myself, "don't give up, just try harder that's all you have to do and play smarter and you'll be fine, it was just one mistake." For academics I'm not gonna lie I'm very smart but I happen to get lazy from time to time and just give up but I know in my heart I want to do better but I just don't have the motivation.. maybe its because I'm still young and think school doesn't matter but I know it does and I need to push to my full potential without giving up.
