Personal Statement

My name is Logan Phillips and I am currently a 6'8" senior Guard/Wing for Valley Christian High School varsity basketball team with a 3.2GPA.

I have very strong aspirations and goals of continuing to play basketball at the next level. My passion and my feel for the game have driven me to become a student of the game and this has helped to provide one of my strongest attributes as a basketball player, my basketball IQ.

In addition to this, I am able to shoot from distance and mid-range, handle the ball, make the right pass, and guard multiple positions on defense. I have great length, athleticism and size at the point and shooting guard positions allowing me to score at all three levels.

My driving force in life is my faith!  I live my life with character and integrity.

I enjoy giving back to the community through serving. I have been on multiple trips with my Dad, my Church and School to help serve locally and globally. I have traveled to Alaska (built a church), traveled to Mexico and build a house for a family, worked with the Chandler Homeless Outreach, Feed My Starving Children,  Jump Start Kids Ministry,  and traveled to Costa Rica and served at a local orphanage and a local widow’s village.

I had the honor of helping plan and host a sports clinic with over 130 kids in the Santo Domingo, Costa Rica and was able to compete in basketball and volleyball games against local high schools there.

Within this family there will be individual responsibility, shared suffering, collective pride, shared ownership and an absence of special privileges. Our Program: Based on values of family, successful attitudes, and team chemistry. 1. Family: we believe in unconditional support, love, trust and discipline. 2. Attitude: we embrace toughness as a talent, selflessness, humility, and a passion to be difference makers. 3. Chemistry: we teach team attitude, we define roles, set goals, and we will use adversity as an asset.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
