My name is Jason Amador and currently a Senior at Parker High School in Parker, Arizona. As a student-athlete, I spent many hours on the court, in the weight room and in the classroom, preparing myself for this point in my life to fulfill my dream of playing basketball at the college level. I am a Native American enrolled with the Colorado River Indian Tribes located in Parker, Arizona along the Colorado River. I was raised by my loving parents who taught me through hard work and faith in God, anything is possible. I am the youngest in my family of two children and have an older sister who currently attends Arizona State University.
I have competed at the varsity level all 4 years of my high school career as a starter. I was appointed Team Captain for my Junior and Senior years. During my Sophomore year I was awarded the teams assist leader. I was also selected as 1st Team All-Region my junior year as I was the teams scoring and assist leader.
Although I come from a small town I have competed with and against other elite players while participating at various camps and showcases outside of Arizona, such as Pangos, Ball is Life, WCE, Area Codes Basketball, Prep Hoops, and several others. I have played with several AAU club teams and participated in many tournaments and leagues and developed a strong understanding of the game. I am a hardworking athlete who has spent many hours training on my speed, vertical jump and strength. I have attended physical workouts at STARS in Anaheim, California and The Combine located in Las Vegas, Nevada with the goal of preparing myself to compete at the college level.
I have also prepared myself to play at the next level off the court and in the classroom. I currently possess a 3.7 GPA and am scheduled to take the ACT in February 2019. I am also a member of the National Honor Society and have held offices for other student organizations such as Student Council, Interact and CYC.
In closing, I am ready. I am ready to be coached, I am ready to handle the hard work of being a college student athlete and I am ready to fulfill my dream of playing college basketball at your school.
I appreciate your time in reading my profile and I look forward to hearing from you in the future.
