Personal Statement

Hello to All who may read,

My name is Jordan Morris. My goal is to obtain my degree in Sports Medicine at some capacity and would be honored to keep playing the sport I love along that educational journey. I have been playing club ball since the age of 9 yrs old. My dad started coaching me and that instilled the fundamentals that I still take pride in. I am a very good 3 point shooter, great passer, very good defender and most importantly I am very coach-able. My GPA is currently 3.5 and most of my classes are Honors classes. I take my education very seriously. Every coach that has had me really enjoys me, my game, and my Team attitude plus they always tell me to shoot more. Just a really good person, smart student, and good basketball player that is always willing to work to get better.

  • Game highlights will be posted on Youtube by Scouts Focus; Scouts Focus evaluation - Jordan Morris a 6'2 165 lb 2018 prospect of Paradise Valley (AZ), is a nice player with division 1 potential.Jordan has great size position and should continue to take advantage of that in addition to possessing length that is a reliable asset to individual and team defense. The prospect showed great handle, and is able to put great pressure on the defense. Jordan really sees the floor at a high level in terms of passing the ball. We would like to see continued work passing with either hand an d creating misdirection to the defense. The Player is a very effective and versatile shot maker and has great looking form and accuracy. We recommend making at least 500 game speed shots a day in a variety of circumstances from all three levels (floaters, mid range, three both off the screens and off the bounce.Jordan has a very good shot selection and does a solid job of knowing what shots are in space and in rhythm. College coaches will be happy with this prospects selection. The prospect do es a great job of finishing at the rim through contact and size. The prospect defends the ball and help side very effectively proving to be a very good asset defensively. The talent is very strong for year and size and should continue to get stronger to really develop their body for the next level going against fully developed opponentsand has a great frame to really build on.Jordan has a great motor, changes ends of the floor well translating to collegeand is incredibly tough that all levels of coaches will covet. The talented player has very good athletic ability for size and age and would like to see continued development in speed/agility and vertical development. Jump rope drills are a great full body conditioning drill we highly recommend if not ready for a rigorous weight-training program. Jordan does a good job of understanding the game and usually makes the right decision. We would like to see continued development in learning the game by watching practices and games at ever y level. Defensively we would like to see continued improvement both on and off the ball in addition to always seeing ball and man. We would emphasize staying lower on both ends of the court. In addition, we would like you to continue learning how to play without the ball as most players only have the ball a max of 10% of the game (even less if you have ball stoppers on your team). We are excited to monitor this prospect's development in the future and would like to see continued development i n all areas we rated as needing improvement to fully maximize potential. ScoutsFocus and our college coaching staff believes Jordan has division 1 potential with continued hard work and development both in the classroom and on the hardwood. Can play the 1; 2. AAU Team: Sabercats. Attended ScoutsFocus Elite 80 PHOENIX Camp on April 1-2, 2017
