My name is Anakin Melton and I am now a 17 year old Senior in High School. I have always loved playing sports in and outside of school. When I started fifth grade, I was excited to be able to try out for the basketball team and since then I have continued to play, dreaming to obtain a scholarship for college basketball with hopes and dreams to have an opportunity to play in the NBA. When I first stepped onto the court at that moment, I knew this was my passion. I dedicate my time to strengthen, train and develop to reach to the level above. I am unique and have all the abilities a basketball player needs from strong ball handling skills, the ability to score, running, passing, run the floor including high basketball IQ. I am a team leader and try to lead by example and encourage my teammates, while at the same time having the ability to take over when needed. I’m very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I’m a part of. I am a Student Athlete, student before the athlete so off the court, I study hard to maintain my high GPA. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all peers and make my parents proud.
