Personal Statement

 Hello,

My name is Jodin Davidson. I’m currently a Junior and attend Mountainburg High School. I stand at 6’5" and weigh 210lbs. I play the small and power forward position on the court. I am an All-Conference selection and averaged 15.3 ppg and 6.7 rpg during our regional/state tournament. I was also named Most Improved Player this past season. Basketball is something I truly love. That word is thrown around a lot, but I truly mean it. I can’t tell you why, when, or how it happened. It’s just simple. The love is there. However, that alone isn’t what separates me. Millions of people love this game because it is so great. What separates me is summarized in one, distinguished word. Grit. I will out grit you. I may not always be the fastest, tallest, strongest, or most athletic in every circumstance. Know this though, I will grit my way to the top and eventually will be the fastest, strongest, and most athletic. One more thing I'd like to include would be my basketball intangibles. I understand that sounds a little off putting, but if you watch me play one time you will understand what I mean. I can guard 1-5 on defense, am willing to hit the deck for a lose ball, and I don't stop talking on defense. I also ranked among the top 5 in the state of Arkansas in blocked shots as a sophomore. I've been a part of two travel ball organizations. One of them I was able to win the MVP award and Offensive Player of the Year. Thank you for reading my summary and for your considerations.
