Basketball – Basketball is my passion. I continually seek to improve my skill and physical fitness. I have enjoyed learning more technical aspects of the game over this past year through attendance at various courses through out the United States. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with other teammates and other peers. Through the summer I worked on strengthening my leadership role within my summer team. I am a dedicated player and I am usually the first to arrive for practice and the last to leave. I spend my spare time working on my shot and ball handling skills. My ultimate goal is to play professional ball in Europe.
Academics – I spent the summer reflecting on my academic successes and challenges. My goal for this year is to raise my GPA to a minimum of 3.0. I recently met with my high school guidance counselor for academic course planning. For this upcoming school year I have chosen courses that both support my goal of bettering my GPA and provide the requirements for admission to my programs of interest at the college/university level. I am actively studying for upcoming SAT and ACT testing this fall. I am open to exploring all options for universities.
Career – I am interested in many areas; primarily I am looking at sport psychology/counseling, coaching, physiotherapy, and sports training.
Social/Community – I enjoy assisting the coach in working with younger basketball teams. I am actively involved at the community center and I enjoy supporting peers with their basketball and fitness training.
