Drew Wagner '24 Recruiting Profile

I picked up a basketball for the first time at the age of 5. After watching Dirk Nowitzki beat LeBron and the Heat in the 2011 NBA finals, I fell in love with the game (and begged my parents to buy me a Dirk jersey). I played three sports until middle school, but eventually broke them all off because I wanted to focus on basketball. I genuinely enjoy the game of basketball more than one could imagine. The sound of an empty gym, a ball swishing through the net, and sweat dropping to the floor makes me feel like I’m floating and nothing can bring me down. I work extremely hard on the court and in the classroom, giving my all in every aspect of my life. I have a great basketball IQ, and I pride myself on being a vocal leader on and off the court. It is my goal to play basketball at a high-academic D3 level. I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make that happen.
