There's many goals that I look to accomplish in my future a lot of which are long term but a few which are short term and small goals I set for my self everyday. Some long term goals I will accomplish are getting a full ride scholarship to a good school whether it be an academic or sport scholarship but whichever it may be I will play basketball for that school and do my best to get us as far as we can no matter what the circumstances are. During this process I'm looking to improving on and off the court and not by myself but with the help of my teammates and my coach/es. I know i'm different from a lot players not because I put in the work a lot of players aren't willing to put in but because my parents have raised me to know that life is more than just basketball. Its about being a good person especially when no one is looking, its staying humble when you're on top, it's about being respectful even when you're disrespected. The most important thing they've taught me is being able to listen and be able to process what the person is trying to tell/teach me. Another important concept they've taught me which i believe makes me different is a lot of athletes tend to overlook or never get taught to set priorities. When you're priorities aren't in place you're just bound to go down the wrong road. I'm still working on getting my priorities straight but i know they should be god, family, school, and basketball. I know transitioning from high school basketball to college wont be easy especially with my size but the fact that I've known that ever since I was in seventh and I've kept going and I believe i will play for a college tells you I've faced failure and I've used everything the world gives me to my advantage whether it be negative people, physical attributes, doubters, ignorant coaches not giving me a chance because of my height, and etc. Everything I've said is a small piece showing you the way I think and what to expect from me. I assure you I will be the player with the most heart when it comes to on the court. Academically I will stay focused, and I will be yearning to be the best version I can of myself on and off the court.
