Anthony Alvarez '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Anthony Alvarez, I am 5'8 feet tall and live in California. I have been playing basketball since I was 9 years old. Before I even played basketball, I was in love with the sport. My parents signed me up for a small local league and since then I haven't stopped playing. I now play AAU for the East Bay Soldiers. I play small forward and power forward. I am great at penetrating to the basket and I believe I am a great defender. I lead by example, and believe a team will not be successful if everyone is not on the same page. I work on my craft every single day. Even if i'm busy, I always find time to get a workout in. Some goals that I have set for myself are going to college, playing college basketball and playing in the NBA. What makes me a good candidate for your team is that I always give 100% effort and dedication. What makes me different from other recruits is I always look at opportunities to be a better person as a player and a person.
