Wyatt Black '19 Recruiting Profile

    Throughout my 10+ years of being a multiple sport athlete, basketball has always been the sport I look forward to the most.  Every year, I cannot wait until late November. Basketball has always been my favorite due to the competitiveness of it, and I want to carry on my career past high school. The idea of collegiate basketball excites me, because I will get to pursue the career I want while playing the sport I love. Also, the idea of playing on a team that has members that match or exceed my skill level is awesome! My height and skill developed early and I have been at the top of our team most of my career. I know I will enjoy the challenge of more skillful play, after being chosen to play on an All-star team called Southern Oregon Elite. I loved being involved with players more my speed, and it made me a much better player. I connect with teammates very easy after being on several different squads. I am very hard-working and do not like to lose. However, I have never gotten a technical foul and can keep my cool. I have been raised by great parents in a small community,  teaching me to be humble and that sportsmanship can shape how people see you as a person. I am an honor roll student and look forward to learning about my chosen field of study. I believe I would be a great candidate for next level basketball; I have played team sports all my life, I am a hardworking student and athlete, I am very competitive, and I am someone who values respect, pride, and commitment.
