My goals is to play basketball to the highest level of competition. I love the game of basketball and it is my passion. Without basketball, I don't know who would I be.
Noticeable improvement since season:
Tommy has become stronger, more mobile and agile. His feet has actually been quite effective playing against smaller players. Has been one of the better pick and roll defenders on the team. His ability to relieve pressure on the press with his dribble has been a welcome sight. Has the ability to be a lockdown defender.
Strength’s
Tommy is very long and is an automatic disruption off of his length alone. He is very quick in getting to rotations and recovering well. Has shown major flashes of being a lock down one on one defender
Things to work on
Must continue to get stronger overall. He must learn to stay wide and not skinny by standing up so much. Has to become a more consistent shooter and finisher around the basket. A lot of which comes from over thinking and lack of confidence at times. Must continue to work on overall conditioning, which comes from working at a high level through out workouts, not just on line drills.
If Season started today this player would be recommended for:
Varsity starting 4 man
These are Coach Brown’s insights in order to help each player get better before the start of the next season. The recommendations are not reflective of what will actually happen when the season begins. I hope that this will be a positive motivator for each player.
