My name is John Jenkins and I play basketball at Tesoro High School in Orange County, California. I have played basketball ever since I can remember and it is my passion. I work on my skills every single day and am very coachable. My coach told me to work on my vertical jump last summer as well as my 3 point shot. I worked extremely hard at this and can now dunk with ease and can consistently shoot well from the 3 point range.
I am the Captain of of our team this season and take the responsibility seriously. Currently, I am the #2 scorer in Orange County, Ca. Here is the leaderboard: http://www.ocvarsity.com/sections/leaderboards/?sportID=3&gender=B
I am currently shooting 65% from the field and 82% from the free throw line. I continue to score despite the fact that most teams are playing a box and one or just try and double team me most of the game. I am also always guarding our opponents best player throughout the game and have shut down some very good D1 players.
I am serious about a good education and playing ball at a great school. I can promise that I will be an asset to any program and school that I play for and will never give anything less than my best effort.
