I have been playing basketball ever since 2nd grade. I tried lots of sports growing up but basketball has stuck with me and ever since I first started playing, I've loved it. Coming into high school, I'm realizing I can really take my passion for basketball somewhere. I am aspiring to play at the collegiate level. My skills on the court are shooting, ball-handling, and being able to execute an offense, as a point guard, with my basketball IQ. Defense, as well, has always been a strength of mine. I strive to lead my team and inspire them to get better and work hard for the team's success. I am willing to do whatever it takes for my team to be successful and I understand that I have to complete any role given to me by my coaching staff. I will work hard on any team I am put on as I am grateful to be having the chance to play the game of basketball.
Off the court, my GPA has always been high since 6th grade. As I've earned a 4.0 every year since then. My classes have consisted of all honors/accelerated programs and I'll be taking my first AP course next (10th grade). I can get my job done in the classroom as well as on the court. Basketball and academics are very important to me and I will look forward to the opportunity to be able to excel at both of those anywhere I end up for college.
