David Wright: 6'0'' 175 lbs All City, All Conference 2010 Point Guard, All Conference 2011: 2010 Played for America I Can travelling team; Played for BCA traveling team.I have been the starting varsity point guard and Captain three years and recently lead my team to a city title in the CIF LA City Small School Division for the 2011-2012 Season. I have dedicated my self to the game of basketball. I am a hard worker. I plan to be a college basketball player. I believe in strong academics. Now David has played two years of Jr. College Basketball and is ready to play at the four year college level. He played at Santa Ana Community College with limited playing time, but when he did get into the games, great things happened. In his time at West Los Angeles College, as a red shirt sophomore, he had more playing time in many games. In the games in which he had significant playing time( 25 min. or more) their record is 10-2. In those games David was the facilitator. He ran the offense. The ball was in his hands. He found the open man. Some of those games were very close, but David came through as the point guard in those pressure situations. He will be a great asset as a four year college player.
Two games to note are West Los Angeles vs LA Pierce College 2/15/17 and West LA vs Canyons College 2/18/17.. Both games David played that significant amount of minutes. These games were crucial because the playoffs were on the line and the last games of the season; must wins. West LA won both games. In those games David demonstrated that he is ready to be a great asset to a four year college program. If you're looking for a point guard, David is your man.
