After helping Palisades win their 1st D1 City Championship in 51 years, I have decided to attend Elite Prep Academy in California. This decision was made because of the uncertainty surrounding Covid 19 and actually having a basketball season in 2020-2021. I want to improve the strength of my body and prepare for the next level appropriately.
I am looking for a good balance between being challenged academically and athletically. I finished high school with a 3.9 gpa. I look at basketball as a metaphor for life including all of its challenges and most importantly how you respond to those challenges. Every team I have played on, I didn't necessarily pass the "eye" test which has left a bit of a chip on my shoulder to prove to not only the coaches but more importantly to myself! Every team I played on, I have not only made but ended up starting as those coach's realized that i was the prototypical "glue" guy! The best way i describe myself is humble, consistent, hard worker and scrappy.
I've had to defend 5 positions on the floor because of my length and versatility with a 6"6 wingspan. Although I only averaged approximately 9 points, 7 rebounds ,3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks per game, my goal is to always is to help my team win games!
I am in the Western League which is one of toughest city leagues in Los Angles which includes the likes of Fairfax and Westchester. I had the good fortune of being recognized as a member of the All League team my Junior and Senior years.
In conclusion, I hope to find the right university or college that I can align my academic and athletic goals! I want to be a contributor and help make an impact in the classroom and on the court and most importantly prepare me to make my most significant impact -to give back to the world!
