Personal Statement

I am a very well rounded person. I am involved in FFA, Band, am a school and class officer, play football, baseball and basketball. I have a GPA of 4.0. I am a hard worker and put 100% in everything I do. I aspire to become a veterinarian and help run my families ranch.  I love to play basketball both in AAU and for my high school team. During the 14/15 basketball season my Junior Varsity team went 26-0.  I am very active in Future Farmers of America (FFA), McArthur chapter.  In FFA for the 14/15 year I qualified to compete at the state level in the Creed Recitation Competition (Only 24 qualified state wide), I received the Star Chapter Greenhand award and am currently an FFA officer. Also, at my local fair I showed a lamb and won the  FFA Reserve Champion and won second in Showmanship.  In band I have played the trumpet for the past 3 years. In the 14/15 school year, I was the class Vice President and for the 15/16 school year I am the school Booster Representative. During the 14/15 football season I was a starting wide receiver and safety.  I was also the backup quarterback and defensive end.  During the 15/16 Football season I played starting quarterback and defensive back.  I was moved up to the varsity team for playoff.  We won the section title and went on to the D5 state playoffs and ended up in the top four teams in the state.  I was awarded MVP for my Junior Varsity team. During the 14/15 baseball season I was a starting outfielder and pitched in one game. During the summer I work on my family ranch driving tractors for haying and harvesting rice and also help raise cattle.

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
